well, STS-127 was scrubbed just at the End of the T-9 Min hold.
as we were all online and ready, we just went for a Synced launch of our own.

and we broke the users on TS record with 14 members online..
maybe tomorrow STS-127 will finally go and we'll have a real NASA synced launch :)

The STS-127 Sync Launch Event is now open.

Log in the TeamSpeak server, go to the "Synced SSM2007/STS 127 Launch (R)" room and enjoy the company, hoping that today is "the day" for the STS-127 crew and for us.

Acting Launch Director is Pocci.

Thank you all for joining the event.
Sadly my internet provider suffered from a crashed computer, so I popped out of teamspeak and NASA TV shortly before countdown resume at T-9.
I could do nothing except watching my own countdown clock and holding my fingers crossed.
When I had internet access again at T-3 seconds, almost everybody was gone.
Well do it again in two days. This time I recommend STS-124.
Launch time is 1h too early, but launch date is end of may.
Sun angle should be pretty close to the real launch.
I'll be waiting for the hardcore simmers from T-2h onwards. Everybody is invited to join as and when he or she likes.
Blue skies,
Armin

Pocci, I wondered where you went??

Ironically, my INet/Cable provider dropped me a couple of times yesterday too.

Don't worry. This was expected. They are expecting it to move out by launch time. It is pretty bad right now they have a cell directly over the pads and SLF. The inspection team has taken shelter in the FSS. It is absolutely pouring on NASA TV. They right now are under severe thunderstorm warning and Phase II lighting alert and red for almost everything on thing on the weather chart. The only thing I worry about now is if they could have a delay because they can't do there inspections right now. But we are still 4 hours from launch so don't worry about any storms till T-9 min.

The "n"th STS-127 Sync Launch Event is officially open.

Log in the SSM2007 Teamspeak and standby for instructions.

I understand that it is frustrating staying online and waiting for the launch, only to get a scrub after 1-2 hours of waiting.

Consider this however: we are all here to experience as much as possible what the real crew feels. THAT INCLUDES FRUSTRATION!  8)

So come on in, don't be a wuss - join all of us online and see how it goes today. Weather may yet surprise everybody and we'll finally blast off towards another cool 16-days ISS mission!
