What about doing the ISS docking in real time with the STS-127 crew? This can be another step for discussing the multi-player possibilities that were covered in yesterday's TS impromptu brainstorming session with GC2.

/Admin

Depending on the time, I'd show up just to continue the conversation... It was nice to speak with someone with the team, I got some great insight into the mindset of a game developer. I arrived a bit later than most, and missed the introductions....Kinda wondering who was "GC2" but it quickly became clear when he spoke with some authority.

Back to the sync-dock. For me this is depending on what time of the day it is. I was lucky to make the launch, And I hoping to link up with Uri for the landing to test connection times. Hopefully, docking and Landing takes place the same hour launch did.(Unlikely, I know) I would be keen to attending the brainstorming.

it's much harder to sync then the launch.
on the launch all you need to do is sync up on the T-9 resume and you're good. on SSM the approach is head on (rather then comming in from below) so the ATT is wrong for the RPM, then you have the TORVA which the transition to it is not trivial...

I'm thinking of doing a TORVA docking video I'll need to talk to Dee-Jay about it. so it will take a while, it's not on a high priority right now.

Damn, I really need to check my typo's in the future; before posting -- had quite a few on this post...  Was trying to multi-task to many things at once. ::)

You are funny and albeit truful -- scrubs --- arrrghhh!  Just, wish we could do sooner so that I can demo to my kids before they fly back to Virginia...

Ok, what's the date for STS-128 -- Aug 12th -- just guessing off the top of my head.

Thanks.

Was August 18 but I believe do to the Tanking Tests it got moved to like the 20 or 24. Should fall somewhere in there.

Edit: Just checked NSF. NET (No Earlier Than) August 26.

I'm good with that. Jeff, when do your kids leave? We can certainly get one together before that, I see no reason not to.

Towards the end of August but it could be sooner or later... The ex-wife can be very demanding; just would like to "subject" them to space-related events while they are here; and see Dad "in the action"... Although they have grown up with it over the last number of years...but they just don't seem to really have an interest since they moved away 2.5 years ago (ages 15 and 12 - FYI)...

it's a workday for me, and it's about 8:30am so I doubt I'll even be able to watch it.
