You can synchronize it. Just follow what's going on on NASATV and follow their cue - speeds, distances etc. You need plenty of time and patience - I've done it once

Yes, I *Could* synchronize it, but I was too lazy to, and doing so would detract from the excitement of watching still photos update every minute or so from the orbital docking system's camera =P

You know you're addicted when you stay up till 4:30am watching NASA TV, then go to bed right after watching the crew open the hatches/play peeka-boo with the on-board cameras (While fighting off the urge to finish the SSM mission you started a few hours before-hand). Time for bed <_<
