Look, there's a telescope out there !

But you can't enter

That was the entire point of my post. Is it possible that these new ops include SSRMS control (and by inference, ISS entry)?

I know this doesn't belong here - but I couldn't find anywhere else to post this:

From the SSM2007 Twitter Site:
"Some Beta Testers are on vacation... hope this won't affect the SP planned release schedule."

What gives them the "right" to take a Summer Break when WE are all counting on them to do their respective jobs!!!  ;D    j/k   This is Summer time and that's what people do ... wish I could take some more time off ... ho-hum... Anyway, I'm excited for the new release. Thanks!

Well, it is especially important that this SP be as free of bugs as possible. If we expect virtual Astros to learn new tricks, we should at least make sure as humanly as possible that they don't ask themselves "is it me or is it a bug?" if/when they fail. So in this case, priority goes for debugging and less on release schedule.

I hope nobody will be losing patience or confidence if we are later than usual, but the changes and additions we implement in this SP affect almost all missions, so testing takes time...

On the contrary !! But one cannot prevent himself from growing more and more curious :)

RMS Driver

RMS - no
EVA - no
KU rendezvous - no

I'm going to guess it is a change to the GPC programs.

Who said no to any of them? AFAICT very little has been confirmed or ruled out yet.

If it effects ALL missions, think about it.

RMS - no.. STS-1 doesn't have RMS.

EVA - no.. STS-1 doesn't have EVA.

KU Rendezvous - no.. STS-1 doesn't have rendezvous operations.

Anything that isn't in STS-1 won't be changed.. If it's true to the "all missions", not excluding STS-1.
Finished: STS-1, STS-8, STS-41C, STS-27, STS-32, STS-31, STS-47, STS-88, STS-96, STS-93, STS-98, STS-99, STS-121, STS-401

Guys he said ALMOST all Missions! So we are back to square one. But maybe we will hear what the features are this weekend. ::)

Exactly.

I was told to not just copy the entire suggestions page (although I selected the 3 named items purely on the basis of room for improvement and near-universality).

Doesn't mean these aren't the items though... Or that at least one of them may be under consideration. Neither do I assume that any of them is definitely due in the next increment.

Personally, I like stuff that involves 'flying'... whether that means TAEM, SPEC33, or the RMS. Button-pushing is a means to an end, and floating about for hours outside while things don't work? - that's why you carry passengers  :o

No, the Twitter said:

QuoteWe're busy fine-tuning the new features and fixing bugs. It will take us some time to add the new features to all the missions though.

However, the blog stated that you must go back to school to complete the more challenging missions. So, the reports seem to be contradicting each other.

Chris

I think what they meant was that it will take a while to go through all the missions it will affect....

Maybe there extending the EVA's or maybe even actually doing work on the EVA's instead of just sitting there doing nothing or something like that, or adding historic elements to each shuttle flight.

Ryan

BUT, all missions did have a space toilet!

Sorry, couldn't resist.  I'll just be quite now. :-X
