Hi,

I have a PCI slot instead of a PCI-E slot. My CPU is an HP Media Center m7060. Is there a PCI card SSM07 will run on high settings with? If not I'm stuck W/ an Intel Joke and am at the mercy of how much my 3.00GHZ P.4 can handel! :D

Are you sure that you don't have an AGP slot?

If not, then you're really stuck! PCI cards are not available anymore (maybe on eBay?) and if you do find one, it most probably be of a very old technology and notoriously slow as PCI is not a graphic BUS. In this case I am speaking from experience since I used to own a PCI-based Nvidia 5200 128MB card that was retired a long time ago.

Wow, I didn't think anyone still had those old motherboards with no AGP slot in them. :P

Well, where would I look for one? I have 3 white PCI slots at the bottom lefthand corner of my Motherbord. This CPU was Top-Of-The-Line in 2004. Was that really so long ago??? :(

I had a look at your PC specs here:

http://www.dealadeal.com/cart/select_item.cfm?cont=78583&view.htm

As you can see, the PC is defined as a "Media PC" - NOT a gaming PC. While everything else is good enough to run SSM2007, it is very weak on the 3D acceleration side, which is not necessary for movies, music etc. This PC is meant for music and movies, not serious 3D gaming.

The lack of expandability is unfortunately a trend that some brand name manufacturers have chosen to follow. In this case it seems you are quite stuck with what you have.

While your PC is great at playing movies and music, it is not really adequate to play 3D-intensive games. Sorry.

So, SSM07 will not run? :(

Im afraid it won't! GMA900 Intel Graphics is a very OLD technology which has never been meant for serious, real time 3D Simulators. In addition it only supports OpenGL 1.4 while today modern cards already support OpenGL 2.0.

SSM2007 requires OpenGL 1.5 and up, so we do support older technology but not THAT old.

I got a PCI ATI X1550. Will this run well on SSM07?
