Well sence Dell ripted me off they gave me a slim comp. without telling me it could not be upgraded. So the higest grapic card i coud get was an ATI Radion X1300 Pro. I am not very happy with it eather. And I cant return my comp. because it is past the return date. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Slimline huh? probibly a micro AT board with slim PCI slot openings. I realy don't like the way those machines are designed. *Dell CEO "Durr, let's ignore the ATX standard and make sure nobody can use our machines past a year and a half" I now refuse to buy a manufactured comp and only build my own.

This is my baby!!! (minus the GeForce 8800 GTS card i put in)

How well do you like the GeForce 8800 GTS lforet? I was looking at the 8600 GT, for the price it looks like a good card.

If you want to get the most "bang for the buck",
use this list:
http://www.yougamers.com/hardware/stats/3dmark06/priceandperformance/
They compare the results form a benchmark with the price.
You may not get the best card there is,
but you will get the best card for your money :)

So yes Danny, the 8600GT is an excellent choice!

PS: I made my own PC as well... never had any problems with it,
apart from a defective GPU, which was replaced by the manufacturer very quick.

Hi.  I have a Radeon X1900. It runs all programs wonderfully. The only slow up I get with Shuttle is when I try to select a panel from the virtual cockpit while in flight.  But I'm not sure thats graphics related.  Other than that.  I have been astounded with this card.  Its over a year old now, so I am sure there are more powerful cards.  Might be able to get one of these on ebay for not to much.

It was a little expensive but the 8600 should work well. It realy is just a mini 8800 card
