After some rather bad landings and many attempts at re-entry I finally completed STS-1!!!

The only thing that I think needs a little better defined is the edges of the runway (lakebed).........they did have spraypaint back then!

Oh and I did get the mission badge!!!!!!!!!

OH and I did have to take the speed brake to manual..........in auto it was doing its thing and put me in a stall. Also i flew the succesfull landing in 3d view from the pilots seat so that I could watch CRT-1 and the HUD, and below 35K the diamond was tracking perfect!!!!!

Im still trying to complete it. It seems like STS 1 runs a different way each time. This time as I was preparing for deorb...OPS 302 PRO...and the process kept running as I orbited the earth endlessly...all with the "running" light blinking..as I watched my orbit track away from Edwards...towards the Gulf of Mexico.. ??? ??? ??? No new messages or anything...just endless orbiting with the "running" light blinking...Am I mental or what? :'( :'( I'm ready to give up...

Tusler

Hi
Ok here is what it looks like when I burn up every time.
1. Everything is ok, mission control says it looks good and re entry starts with computer in control.

the instruments are here:

Then the overheat begins:

and I burnup every time:
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg222/tusler/Burnup.jpg

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg222/tusler/result.jpg

I have read and reread the manuals, I have tried the R=0 P=0 Y=90 and the R=0 P=280 R=90.
I tried manually bringing it in, nothing works I always burn up.
Does anyone have the correct parameters for R= P= and Y= so I can get through the first mission?
Thanks

I think this might be an issue that will be addressed in the upcoming patch.

I don't understand. I have completed STS-1 and in the achievement section, I got a beautiful badge with my astronaut name ;D

PresEVAIR

I added the patch to 1.2 and I have had the same problem of flying around the world forever. Still trying but it can be frustrating :'(.
