Time it takes to do a mission

I have had SSM2007 for a while been just now getting deep into the sim.  I was wondering how long it took most people to get done with some of the missions and if most people time skip through most of the comms or do the mission in real time where MET is actually how long the mission takes.

it takes me about 2 to 3 hours to run through a mission...
But I usually need to run them two or three times, so it is a neccesery thing to skip everything I can.

Is that including Launch/Landing? It usually takes me about 3 hours to do just on orbit tasks in hard mode.

Most of my missions took about a week to complete.  I try to complete all the tasks for each flight day in real time, then just let to sim run, or save and come back later to start the next days flight tasks.  To date, STS-125 took by far the most time due to the 5 loooong EVA's, and other real life events that kept me away from the computer for several days at a time.  I think it took me over three weeks to get STS-125 home again.

I'm still learning the systems and procedures . So I haven't flown a full mission yet but I'm working on that. l sim flight day 1 from T-1:50 till the first sleep period. I  do this on my days off and while the spouse is at work...

Usually around three hours for a typical ISS supply run and other fairly basic missions. Hubble servicing missions and other missions with extensive EVA and RMS work can push 4-5 hours.

Well worth it, though. I wouldn't mind if the 2010 version pushed the average time up to 4-5 hours, with the more difficult missions going for 7-8 hours.

What I do is run the whole mission without using time skip, however I always press "next event" when asked, so the mission will take around 6-10 hours to complete depending on the length.

I don't think it's just much a question of patience, as it as a question of what's the point?

When you're doing an EVA, and it says that it will take 20-60 minutes to complete this activity, I don't see much point in sitting in real time for that long when there is actually nothing for you to do.

Real time for the rest mission? If one has the time and inclination to that, sure, I could see the enjoyment in that. During an EVA? I just do not see the point.
