ATI x1550
« on: December 28, 2007, 04:08:11 AM »
My updated computer specs are:

Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
VisionTek ATIX1550 256MB
508 MB free space
Open GL 2.00
17' flat panel screen
1GB RAM
Windows XP Pro
latest ATI drivers dated December 20th 2007. According to system specs on about page, SSM07 should run 30-40fps on high settings. Can anyone tell me if this is correct :). I'm looking forward to the release!!!!! Great job guys!!!!!!

I'm still worried about that PCI bus thing (which is slower than a dedicated AGP bus) but we may be in for a surprise.  Haven't checked if that card supports OpenGL 1.5 and up though.

So..............
Will SSM07 run with all options maxed well? I assume it's MUCH better than the intel chip. It is overclocked out of the box. If it won't run with all options maxed, what will I have to give up for playable preformance???
Thanks for your cooperation and looking forward to release! :)

Yep - MUCH better than the Intel graphics joke but still, that PCI non-graphics bus raises some questions. We cannot say anything about performance in this setup since SSM2007 was not tested in this configuration. We only tested on legacy AGP and modern PCIe - the standard graphic interfaces.

Is PCI really that underpowered? :( I assume it will run well, considering my powerfull GHz at 3.00 GHz. But we'll just have to see tomorrow(mabey ;D)

PCIe User. Also, piggybacked other PCI onto it. Runs my flight sim X over 20fps. I hope ( and think ) ssm 2007 will run much higher fps, Wish I had 3g ram though, I maxed at 2.
Good luck!  ;D
