Hi there;

Will there be a training section for rookies like myself that will show us which buttons to push, knobs to turn and switches to flip?

Also will the tutorial give us a like a diagram of the entire console on the Shuttle?

Thanks,

Sean  :)

Hi,

yes there will be a trainingmode for each of the 11 missions including launch, orbit, dorbit and landing.
U'll be suprised that the simulator will show you each button u need, but how is a surprise.

Otherwise u wouldnt be that excited playin' SSM2007(tm)

Hope that helped?

Hi SeanAr,

SSM has several entry points for every mission:

  • T-00:01:50:00
  • T-:00:00:00:12
  • On Orbit
  • Deorb
  • Landing

So you have every opportunity to train for any of those stages. In addition, as we said many times before, the Low difficulty setting will practically hand-hold you throughout the mission showing you which button to press and which sequence.

You will of course need to practice manual RMS control, docking and landing but then you do like SOME challenge, don't you? :)

Of course, I do  ;D

As I get a hang of the controls, I'll be able to handle the sequences in future shuttle missions.

Compared to SSM, landing the shuttle in S3 was a piece of cake.
The flight model has been improved drastically, and you'll have to do some practicing first anyhow.

I was wondering about the landing also Toine. I can land the shuttle in S3 with my eyes closed. ;D I love a challenge so this is going to be worth every penny. ;D
