In Space no one can hear you flush...

at a guess, an hoping maybe too much, the TORVA (twice orbital rate V-bar approach) and Fly around incorporated into missions?

speaking of which.
I have heard a lecture of one of the guys that help design the thing on the shuttle. one reporter asked him (because there was a hearing about it on congress). "How do you justify spending 20M$ on a toilet?" so the guy answered. "take you normal every day bowl. now take it and put it on the ceiling. 20M is cheap"

Inside the shuttle you can hear.
And the best of a simulated toilet:

Just found this on the CNN News Wire Service:

The next SSM2007 SP launch was delayed in the final phase of the launch count-down Yesterday. Mission Control have identified the problem to a memory leak in the External DLL subsystem. Mission enginers are currently investigating either to fix the problem on the launch pad or rolling back the stack and completely replacing the External DLL with the External DLL for SP 3.90.

A High ranking official at mission control was quoted to have said  "We'll be back soon"

In other news NASA scientists are looking to the phenomenon of silent trees falling in rain forest. Once lumber jack said "Darn strange, this tree fell over when I wasn't around, and I didn't hear it". More at Six o'clock...

Finally, NASA have found a cheaper way of fixing a toilet to the celling, but it's still messy and it hasn't decreased the cost of a zero gravity toilet, at $19,999,999.99. However, this includes the cost of delivery and installation to any standard American/Russian/European/Canadian/Japanese Space station in low earth orbit.

Anytime someone talks about the space toliet I think about Hank Hartsfield being all excited because he had made a BM over Havanna on one of his flights, or Mike Mullane describing the "aiming camera" on the toliet. :D

Admin,
I think the question is in fact:
"Is the release close enough to justify not starting a new mission?"

I have had no problems until now following an old save in a new service pack.
But if there were problems, restarting the mission to use all the new cool features (btw, how about a little feature list ;) tease me baby) were not a big problem. I would see the double played parts as a training for the "real" mission with the features of the new SP.

I remember the first time I had to restart a mission due to Save incompatibility.. that was not fun! it was STS-117 on my  first run, after about a month playing the game... (it took me three days to get to the OMS pod fixing part - only to realize I need to run it again :|)

Hmm. That "features list" will spoil all the fun <g>. Actually, if I'm thinking well, this time the new features list contains only THREE main items, but IMHO they are enough to justify the wait ;) And no, the new items are NOT merely eye-candy!

We hope to be able to make an announcement this weekend.
