Teasing

I can't wait for the next SP :
http://ssm2007.blogspot.com/
The upcoming SSM2007 Service Pack which is now under development will add major features and changes which will require virtual Astronauts to go back to school and practice new procedures if they want to complete the more challenging missions successfully.

These changes are consistent with our policy of adding both features and content and enhance the Space Shuttle Mission simulation experience.

Following this update, we will be also adding new chapters to the Commander's Reference Manual and new Video Tutorials to the Ground School. We hope that the added realism will be received with enthusiasm by SSM2007 experienced Virtual Astronauts and newcomers alike, just as it happened with previous major realism enhancements.
Look, there's a telescope out there !

Don't worry Nephi,

We'll soon break with tradition and reveal what we're working on before the actual release :)

I remember how frustrated I was with the sim and the developers when i first got the program when it was released.  Naturally it turned out to be all my own fault really.

Now, I dont think I can point to single other company or product that does it better.

I guessing:

ISS interior is modeled with SSRMS ops

EVAs are now tethered and you must use a system of handholds and tethers to move around.

I agree ES and the GC that make up this great company have the best combined tech support and productivity improvement crew I've ever seen from any other company! Mix that in with us shuttle guru's and the volunteer work of Uri and his videos, Michael and his checklists, etc etc... Everyone has worked together to make a simulator that would be very hard for beginners into an easier transition and saving people hundreds of dollars in broken keyboards, mice, anything in punching distance really lol

This is not a guess - it's wishful thinking - but not out of this world. With a little patience, we'll reach this stage too, but not in this SP.

Totally agree!  This is a great sim with fantastic support!  I can't wait to see what's next!  (ISS interiors, pllleeeeeaaaaassse!?!?!)  LOL!!!

I kind of like the tether idea.  Tether protocols, anyone?

As I suggested several weeks ago, I'm still waiting for the operation of the space toilet.  ;)

Crew training is complete and the STS-125 Flight Readiness Review is complete with one open discrepancy.

A SSM 2007 Service Pack is now at the Beta Testing Team and Software is unwilling to give a go for launch if a new SP causing major changes in mission procedures is issued mid-flight...

Polling Admin for update....SP release imminent???
