This is probably not the right forum for this but it seems that this is where all the brainiacs are....thank God.
On the Mission Control Map, what is the outlined section near South America that says SAA?

It's the South Atlantic magnetic Anomaly which is an area where the inner Van Allen belts makes it closed approach to Earth.
