Launch Schedule
« on: December 25, 2007, 04:18:37 PM »
Hi all and MERRY CHRISTMAS,

Just wanted you to know that the SSM crew is doing its job.

Please note that the Purchase page has a "mission timer". Although it is not as cool as Twabi2's, it is more accurate in the sense that it shows how many days we have left for the actual launch, taking into consideration the necessary steps that need to be completed to reach the T-000:00:00:10 countdown.

Watch that page as it will reflect the actual status of the mission. For example, now the timer is at L-004:00:00:00 and holding . That means that for as long as that message is there, we will be 4 days away from launch.

As you can notice, countdown has stopped now as we still need answers from our e-commerce partners who are away during Christmas, and of course we still need to get feedback from our Beta Testers.

Nevertheless, we plan to release today another Beta in case any of them opens their e-mails under the Christmas Tree :-)

Have lots of fun with your loved ones!

Launch Status Report:

Today we have discovered a loophole in the e-Commerce partner system that allowed one of its affiliates to start selling SSM2007 although we have not released anything yet! Since the system has been in test mode for the last three weeks, the only file that is available for now on the test system is a dummy file.

Nevertheless, one unsuspecting customer has already placed an order with the affiliate. We have notified the affiliate and the customer to cancel any order and relationship and refund the payment.

The affiliate replied immediately, apologized and promised to fix the issue. We are still waiting for the e-Commerce partner to explain the failure. We have received only automated responses until now saying that everything will go more slowly than usual due to the holidays. So no feedback or explanations for now.

We shall resume the countdown as soon as we clarify the reasons and close this worrying loophole.

WARNING:
SSM2007 will be available for download and ordering only through our website so do not fall into any intended or unintended trap of ordering your copy anywhere else as we will not guarantee the activation or refunds.

Best,

Good news - we have resumed counting as we were contacted by the e-commerce partner and by tomorrow evening we hope this part of the critical path will be solved.

So it is 4 days and COUNTING!

Counting is going on as scheduled. The counter has been cycled to "3 days and counting"

At this end, we're busy putting the finishing touches.
