Save File Load Issues with Windows 10.1?
« on: April 07, 2019, 09:15:29 PM »
Hey guys, been years since I posted anything to this forum, very busy, got married two years ago and bought my first home. ;D

Has anyone here had save issues with the missions? I seems like I'm the only one since I cant find anything related to this issue by a search.

The issue is I can save my game during a mission but when I try to load save file it bumps me back to the launch phase of the mission at T-1:50:00, I have to play the missions straight through or else no trophy. :-\

But it feels so good to finally be able to play this game on bad$$$ computer.

i have windows 10.1 home, two hard drives, one SSD for windows core files and one 1TB HDD for photos, videos and games, including SSM2007.

I have Windows 10 Home version 1803 and have no issues with loading saved games.  The only idea that comes to my mind is are you trying to load games saved from a previous version of SSM2007?

Probably best to send a message to the ground crew to see if they can sort it out.

A few other things to check that I thought of.  Are you running SSM2007 as administrator?  Also check your save directory permissions?  I'm not at home right now so I can't verify how I have these settings set up on my SSM2007 computer.  I'll check how I have all that setup and report back later.

I don't know if your save directory is a problem or not, just know that Windows can be finicky some times with save directories.

I have my SSM2007 program installed on a USB drive and my save directory is also on the same USB drive.  It's been a long time since I installed all of that so I don't recall if I did anything special or not.  It does not seem like there is any special permissions setup on my save directory though.

If you install the sim on a drive different then the Windows drive, the save games should install in the installation directory.
If you install on the OS drive all saves usually end up in here:
Users/"yourusername"/AppDate/Local/VirtualStore/ProgramFiles(x86)/SpaceShuttleMission2007/data/saves.
You also need to run the installation setup file as administrator.
Right click and select "Run as administrator".
