Life Onboard The ISS
« on: September 11, 2008, 05:35:42 AM »
I have a nice present for all ISS fans :)

Astronaut Garrett Reisman (Expedition 17 flight engineer) has recorded parts of a usual day (more precisely of May 7th 2008) onboard the ISS. The video was taken in HD qualitiy but sadly only the NASA TV version is available at the moment. Anyway, it's the most phantastic space flight video I've ever seen. It lasts a about 50 minutes.

I watched this on NASA TV.. Some of it as he produced it. NASA gave him extra time that day so he could film without compromising any work that had to be done. I watched Garrett and Peggy Whitson for weeks.... Sorry to see them go.

Nice find MOONWALKER. I definetly will be souvenir-ing me a copy.... ;)

Very cool!  I'd love to spend a night in that little sleep area.  What a view. :o

Just watched the first 5 minutes, am downloading as I type so I'll watch later. Coincidentally, when the first view of the Earth through the porthole was shown, the ISS was directly over my house. Gen dit.

How do I know?

Obvious...... I recognised the clouds.

Finished watching it a couple of days ago. Wish there were more like this.

One aspect that surprised me was the advancement of food preparation techniques. The tin opener looked identical to the one in my kitchen drawer.  :o
