Has anyone here ever attempted to get VIP launch tickets? I sent a message to my congressman the other day, and a secretary replied back saying they sent my name in to be put on the list for the last 2 shuttle flights (Although it's first come, first serve). They said that about a month before the launch, NASA will send information to the congress office, which will then be forwarded to me (If I'm not already too late on the list).
Considering they're the last 2 launches, I'm really skeptical about how many VIP passes will be available o.O
Has anyone else had experience with VIP tickets?
I'll take that silence as a no =P I guess I'll find out in a few months as it gets closer to the launch date.
I remember myself and my friend who had a dodge diplomat used to be a cop car we went to nasa to watch a launch the gate guy saw the car and i guess the parking pass sticker that was really for our school lot..and waved us to the VIP section we were with the press and other agency's luck for us I guess. ;D
unless you are a good friend to your congressman or a major donor don't count on getting them.

I'm not counting on it =P Although they offered to give us a KSC tour *If* (by small chance) we're at the right place on the list. Also I don't think being "good friends" would help much, they kept stressing it was first-come-first-serve.
Regardless of what happens, I still plan on going even if I have to view it from somewhere else.
Give this a shot! I just registered for it. Of course, you have to have a Twitter account to register. http://www.nasa.gov/connect/tweetup.html
STS-132,I won't be able to make x.x
Well keep the link and follow @NASA on Twitter. This will be the second one they've done. I thought it had been going on a bit longer.
