Title: Regarding August 21 Tweet
Post by: mborgia on August 21, 2009, 08:35:08 PM
Is that the Beta going to the Beta team, or a weekend release for SP 4?

it says quite clearly that a new BETA is prepared for the weekend.

if it's a beta, I doubt it will be release to the public :)

The beta will be released to the beta team and if they say is't ok, maybe we will be more close to the release date, wich, in my opinion, should be at the end of august or the beginning of september

I was asking because the BETA had been sent to the team some time ago.  Since the new features were being incorporated into the various missions, I thought that perhaps a release was imminent.

I would think that with such extravagant updates such as the ones in this pack, that it will be in beta for a while.  Probably release next month, but I'm not part of the SSM2007 team.  Let 'em do their work, so it's released correctly, and without bugs.  :)

As you can imagine, we may release SEVERAL Beta Versions of the SP to the Beta Team, following their feedback and of course adding to it until it meets the planned features list.

So we may have 1, 2 100 betas between releases, depending upon SP's complexity and Beta Team feedback.

So as the announcement said: we release a new Beta version this weekend. It is our way of telling you that we are working on it and what its status is. Sort of a behind-the-curtains peek.

We NEVER publish forward-looking public release schedules. Public release annoucncements are done AFTER the public release version is ready for public download, and you will see that in the Announcements board of our official forum.

You guys are the best at quality control. Still, I'm jonesing a little. I won't be doing any ISS missions until sp4. But it's okay *twitch*...I can wait a little while longer.

We're not perfect as there are still bugs to be fixed and changes to be made. All in due time :)

So now you guys are adding differential braking?

Not to be rude but, why didn't you do that when you implemented wind effects on the same service pack?

Same reasons why it took 27 years for Microsoft Flight Sim to reach its current (last?) status  8)

I don't think that is the last Flight Simulator, they just closed down ACES studios, not the franchise. ;)

What, you haven't got that advanced over the years? LOL
