I have recently recorded two short SSM2007 movies (primarily for a bunch of GT Legends race simulation friends), but I thought that I would add links to them here. The first one is STS-47 Endeavour landing at the KSC, and is entirely from the 2D HUD perspective (a bit of a hot landing). The second one is a compilation of shots of the STS-1 Columbia launch from several different angles (this seemed to be a bit darker than normal for some unknown reason....the saved T-1 minute option seemed a lot brighter).

Nicely done. :)
The shots before and during the initial launch phase are too dark for my liking. I ran the pre launch phase from T-1h50m, so maybe a glitch caused the light level to stay relatively low? In a normal launch, the shuttle appears quite bright to start with, and then reduces in brightness around the T+35s mark, but the exact opposite happened in this case!
Very strange.
I am also a bit puzzled as to why there isn't a HQ option for these videos. My two race simulation movies have this option, and the SSM2007 ones were exported from Serif MoviePlus 5 in exactly the same way (Best Quality; High Speed Broadband).
Nice work !
A perfect landing, Mogget. My compliments!
It just needed to be a touch slower :)
Great work Mogget
Maybe Uri-ba will add the links to the Wiki "User Videos" section?

I will, but it's there so people can add it themselves :)
YouTube video of the STS-1 Columbia landing will appear here shortly....
YouTube video of the STS-1 Columbia landing. I think that I nailed the speed and runway alignment this time ;)

add them up on the wiki please :)

How do I add them?
you need to register, then you can edit the page and add them.
I have created a new version of the STS-1 Columbia landing, plus landing movies of STS-8-41C-51A-26-27. I will also be making a new, extended version of the STS-47 Endeavour landing movie (now that I realise that I can land the shuttle further down the runway than I had assumed; I will be able to bleed off the extra 40 knots before touchdown, which is something that I have done successfully in my other recent practice landings). I have also removed the STS-1 Columbia launch movie, because it was too dark.
As for the Wiki page, I have registered, but I am still not sure what I am supposed to do with respect to adding my movies. I can see the EDIT buttons, but I have no idea how I upload the movies, or where I need to put them.
press the "Edit" button and look at how the other links are written...
not complecated :) if you find yourself lost. just let me know
Ah, it seems that I was clicking on the wrong EDIT button :) I have now posted links to my STS-1 Columbia and STS-8 Challenger landing movies.
Five of my landing movies have now been added to the SSM2007 Wiki page, and these cover all five shuttles, and five different runways!
I see that some joker has given a one star rating to my STS-47 Endeavour and STS-27 Atlantis landing videos on YouTube ::) It would be nice if a few SSM2007 forum members could correct this, since all of you can actually appreciate what you are looking at ;)
well, don't take YouTube personally :)
I have no idea why people give what ever rating they give..

Don't worry - I am sure the vote is "political" if you dig what I'm trying to say. Ignore it and move on :)
