Hi all,
Here's what's new in this release:
1. Clouds during liftoff and approach/landing (notice the clouds shadows too <g>): these are Cirrus, high altitude wispy clouds. Maybe this is a sign that cross winds are next? what do you think?
2. Full 6DoF control of EVA: now you can actually crawl around the ISS or Shuttle Payload Bay and simulate tethered EVA. Challenge: re-do all EVAs in this mode. It will take you much more time to complete the missions but then, this is also more realistic! This also allows you to take some cool pics :)
3. Full 6DoF control of the FreeCam: great for taking shots.
4. Unified control of EVA, FreeCam, RCS and RMS (in ORB/UNL): now everything is on the NumPad. Simpler and more efficient. Easier to learn too! Read the new manual!
5. Of course STS-401 - a full missions - but that's a different story :)
Have Fun!

Has Micheal said when we could expect his wonderful checklists? :)
This is absolutely fantastic! These developers sure know how to show that they care about the people buying their products.
I am excited that they have gone off-script with this one. It makes me hold out hope for the RTLS scenario one day :)

Vandenberg AFB would be nice :)
For you L2 members, there is some great info on STS-401 on spaceflight.com. I've got some great PDFs on docking operations and procedures with illustrations, etc.
Be sure to check it out before you start.
