Title: GPC's Drunk and Launch?
Post by: Ender on March 18, 2008, 12:44:36 AM
Did start the STS 88 mission today with the latest patch.

Looks beautifull again !!, for the most part ::).

Noticed that just after SRB Sep, the attitude of the shuttle is not wings level,  during the ascent till "heads up roll" that slight roll is corrected a little.

But than a stranger thing happens The heads up roll starts with an normal looking rate, only the roll is never completed, the last part of the roll goes verry verry slowly and is never completed, the shuttle remains rolled to the left for about ten degrees.

If you look from the top down on the MPS nozzles, you can see them beeing vectored to the right almost untill MECO (trying to correct the deviating track to the left because of the roll i presume).

Is there a reason for this, or is it a bug?,

I've notice that also but...but the roll didn't seem that bad at MECO and ET sep. I'm starting that mission today and will see if it's the same for me...

Take a look at this video...

The shuttle isn't "wings level" at SRB sep but just about at MECO and ET sep...
