Post by: Admin on April 01, 2010, 11:11:23 AM
Yes, we told you things have been cooking. Today, April 1st, we have released the SSM2010 next generation of Space Shuttle Mission Simulator.

Among the features:

1. 1' per pixel Earth Resolution
2. Voice recognition comm commands
3. Surround Stereoscopic Holographic VR with physical feedback for full gaming immersiveness providing unparallelled realism. Now you can feel micro G and really float in space and inside the ISS.
4. Multiplayer support for thousands of players

Download size is 100TB, so we do hope you have that quantum hyper speed Hypernet connection and a pack of those 3D crystal ROM cubes left, after using them for storing Medal of Honor 3010.

Have fun,
/Admin

OOOOOh Boy!

Just downloaded and installed. first impression is that it looks great... Too bad  I had to delete SSM2007 to make room on my HD, but oh well......

Also, gonna take some vacation time from work to get on the multiplayer server. Desktopsimmer and I will be the Guinea pigs.

I want to congratulate all the team for this huge job!!!

I have just a small bug with the new voice recognition feature. It seems that my french accent is not recognize properly. When I asked for "launch", I received a tray-meal. I guess that system has understood "lunch".

Can I contact ground crew about this???

 ;D

Wow, great version, with many new features! But you forgot to mention the space toilet simuation and the sensational new "Zero-G Generator" which produces an area of temporary weightlessness in front of the PC screen... :D

All of the above will come in a 20TB patch soon. BTW - the Holodeck INCLUDES the micro gravity field generator - you should read the 20,000 pages manual before running the simulation <g>

Don't tell me you don't have that new Apple iBrain Hypernet-to-Brain connectivity! You don't really have to print anything <g>.

Ok so I am going to incriminate myself and say I bit yesterday hard.  That is what I get for not paying attention to the post but rather what I wanted it to say.  I will say that I will have no problem running it on my Cray computer.  And since I am at Iron Mountain Storage with 17 petabytes reserved, I should have no problem running it.  I might have to walk down the tunnel and let them know though.

Meh, you guys with your fancy top of the range PCs. I'm still content with my iSlate PC, version 10,000BC. Occasionally my chisel will break. But all in all it's a very robust OS (Operating Stone).

LOL! Is that Operating Stone developed by MicroStone?

I bet you have a lot of storage too, 1'000'000 Grains-Of-Sand Bites. (At least no static or magnetism damage possible) ;D

And I bet the sound is two people playing charades and one guy making sounds. ;D

Businesses use the server version called Pyramid, but they are proned to viruses called grave robbers which nick all of your valuable data. The email app isn't much either, called "stones-throw" you're limited to small range by the size of the data packet you're sending, the larger the packet, the smaller the range.

Admin: you got me!!! I was wondering why the site still has the SSM2007 banners, until I realised that the news is from April 1.

;D

But I wouldn't have been able to download it anyway. I changed my provider, and until high speed DSL is available again (April 10th), I have to be happy with UMTS, which gives me 0,1mbit speed, or in other numbers: ~10kbs ::)

LOL! Then I better un-stick the post and edit the title. April 1st is gone by now.

I'm glad that the post generated some laughs and a funny thread ;)
