Title: Fate can be cruel...
Post by: Admin on September 13, 2009, 09:41:40 PM
Just in from the network:

The eldest son of late Israeli Astronaut Ilan Ramon (STS-107) has just crashed his F16 during routine training.

Our hearts go to his mother, Rona Ramon and his two brothers and sister.

May he rest in peace.

I read this today at work. This is truly very sad.

Capt. Asaf Ramon had said that he would've liked to follow in his father's footsteps, had he been given the chance.

RIP :(

The risks are always known for those brave men and women that choose the route of military pilot/astronaut.... but it is always sad to hear about man, airman..who has lost his life in service to his country.

S! to all defenders, living and gone.  And S! to the brave folks in the space programs around the world who put it on the line....as my profile pic says...for the scientific advancement of all mankind.

Indeed. Very sad.

The only comfort in this would be that Father and Son are reunited. I bet they are talking about flying.

Rest in peace. Shalom.
