Title: Controls...
Post by: DaveH on October 27, 2007, 02:36:19 AM
Hi,

I know that there are probably more switches and dials in SSM that could be mapped to a keyboard, but I was wondering...

Will we be able to assign or remap keyboard commands?

Will some or all of the switches be assignable to key strokes?

Thanks!

Dave

Hi DaveH,

I'm reviewing this thread now, and in light of your latest posts which led to the creation of the "Space Shuttle Cockpit" Poll, I assume that this "keyboard mapping" question is in exactly the same context, correct?

You were considering the the use of a keyboard emulator board for that purpose, similar to Beta Innovations Plasma or Gammaray boards, right?

Hi,

Exactly. There are several solutions available, but they all accomplish basically the same thing - allowing you to configure switches and rotaries to function as a keyboard.

Thanks!
