Title: STS32 "DOH!" Moment
Post by: asterix on September 17, 2008, 11:37:43 PM
Had a foolish "Doh!" or senior moment yesterday.

As I was approaching Edwards to land the brick , I think I was about 3 - 4 thousand feet ,I noticed low down to my right something that made me go "Wow, I really like that". Landed the beast and claimed my mission patch.

I then went back to my last quicksave which was just after "Copy that, on at the ninety". Playing through to the same point I hit the pause button and F1 view only to find the error of my ways. What I thought was one of the chase planes (which has been hinted at in the "Like to see" comments), turned out in fact to be a very well defined rendering of my own shadow on the desert floor.

Doh indeed!  :P
