Elite Dangerous announced on Kickstarter!
I dont know if many people remember Elite from the 1980s and Frontier Elite 2 from the 1990s, but these were ground breaking space trading/exploration games created by David Braben? Well he has finally announced Elite 4 which was long rumoured to be vapourware. It is to be called Elite:Dangerous and is presently a project on the UK Kickstarter site. he is looking for pledges in order to get the project made.
Recently David has just placed a really interesting video on there all about procedural generation and how it will be used in the game to create highly realistic variable solar systems that may easily exist in real life because the maths/science used to create them follows similar principles of natures real laws. Its all very exciting.
