Huh? This thread already is the "final shuttle" mission thread - including the launch! And it's been a sticky since the mission began.

I was talking about seeing the final launch as a member of the media with the @SSM2007 Twitter account, and they mentioned that I should write about my experience here. I wrote an article for a different website and figured I'd share it here with the rest of the SSM community to read. You can check the website part of my profile to see the media I'm associated with and to hear my launch coverage, but I hope everybody enjoys and that this brings back some great memories of the STS-135 mission and the space shuttle program.

And liftoff of Endeavour... Don't forget to find me at my actual name, @thenasaman

Amazing piece Sawyer!

A great story which proves how challenging, inspirational and motivational manned Space Exploration really is.

I hope that we all get to see humans taking off towards exploring new worlds. Even the Moon is a valid objective - we need to leave there more than footsteps ;)

Thank you for sharing!
