WTF?!?! who hired the director?!? why are they showing animation and not the backflip?

No KU.  Had to fill with something.

what the KU has to do with Video from The ISS?

ISS was out of KU range, there was no video downlink.  There will be replays.
Finished: STS-1, STS-8, STS-41C, STS-27, STS-32, STS-31, STS-47, STS-88, STS-96, STS-93, STS-98, STS-99, STS-121, STS-401

free drift confirmed

The docking system will currently be working to 'dampen' out any residual motion between the two vehicles.

The crew will be looking for an the indication on their displays that the docking system 'Petals' have not moved for at least 60 seconds.

More than likely, or they would have shown the video from the ISS.

Unless they don't want HD video of potential TPS damage out to the world before they have a chance to go over the photos and make sure eveything is OK :)
