Space Shuttle in Microsoft's Photosynth

You probably all seen the Photosynth technology in some "Mail transmitted Movie" (Is I find it some what of a disease). In short it's an abilty to seemlesly integrate remarkably un-related pictures into one 3D model.

It uses all the photos of a location and somehow figures out what is what to make a giant puzzle.

I've found one good Space shuttle oriented thing (thank you pitch maneuver!).

not quite the same :)
those were taken in order to be transformed into a 360 over 180 panorama.

the "Microsoft" (they bought the company that developed the technology) takes images that are not supposed to fit - and merges them into a 3D model (sort of)

It's going in the right direction, but it's still not the same as a real, professionally made 3D model...
Nice to see the advancement in technique though :)
