Houston MCC relaocting to Austin, good idea?

It's good to have the a Disaster Recovery (backup) site for the MCC (shuttle and ISS), but to have it so close to Houston might not of been a good idea. If Ike had taken a slightly different path, Austin could of been greatly effected too. I know that the next fall back is a move to Russian's MCC for the ISS, but to the best of my knowledge there is no other fall back for the Shuttle MCC. I'm actually quite surprised that NASA don't haven't got something at one of the other NASA centres, e.g. Dryden, Marshall, Ames, etc.

For the ISS you really need a fallback because it's in orbit continuously. But Space Shuttle missions are short and dynamically. If a hurricane is going to cross the Johnson Space Center, the Shuttle returns just before. So back in 2007 STS-118 had to leave the ISS and land one day earlier than sheduled because of "Dean".
