SSM 2007 Info
« on: August 14, 2008, 02:32:05 AM »
I just have a question. Where do the ground crew get there info for this sim. I just love it. If it's somewhere like nasa spaceflight L2 I would love to know where. Or if it's from NASA. ;D

Thanks

Various sources, starters it built upon Virgin/Vector Grafix's Shuttle. Then there is the information that NASA pumps out on PDFs, 10,000 pages and articles. One of the best places to start with is the SCOM.PDF. Only problem I have with the PDFs from NASA is that there is a poor search system. lot f Patience is used when searching :)

Most of your reply is correct, except this first part:
starters it built upon Virgin/Vector Grafix's Shuttle.

SSM has been built from the ground up. AFAIK, the only thing the developers used from Virgin's Shuttle is the inspiration.
All the procedures, panels, checklists, etc... come from official NASA documents, which can be found on the web, or can be requested from NASA itself.

Badly worded on my part. I should of said some like , "they wanted to build their own up to date version of Virgin/Vector Grafix's 'Shuttle' and grew into what you see today"

It's been along day.... 8) and I'll need those sunglasses tomorrow :)
