Well, that's really a hypothetical question as IMAX is an analog format, and SSM outputs digital signals per definition.

But, let's suppose we could compare them...
Then here's what you'd need:

The intent of IMAX is to dramatically increase the resolution of the image by using much larger film stock at a resolution comparable to about 10,000 x 7000 pixels (70 megapixels).

So no, unless you want to be looking at man-sized pixels

The only QXGA (highest res currently available) projectors I could find, were professional ones, like this:

To give you an idea: the highest res consumer projectors I could find were XGA or related...
For example: Epson EMP-9100 (SXGA) at 16 000 €...
