Fraps is the best software for this. You can find it here : www.fraps.com
You can both capture images and videos and select audio source. A demo is available and allow you 10 seconds of capture.
You can capture videos from any games and any windows video players.
Best regards,
We have FRAPS of course but as far as I know it does not capture the video stream itself - it captures the screen and then encodes it etc. This means that it has an impact on performance (it uses CPU to capture the screen and encode) and you lose quality (it does not capture the original stream).
In addition, the FRAPS resulting files are HUGE!
For example, now I have 9 hours of NASATV in native .asf stream. That is @670MB and burnt everything on a CD. I do not dare think about the file size I would have gotten with FRAPS for a 9-hour recording :-)
So if you want to capture the best possible streaming video, audio etc. in a variety of native formats, you cannot do it with FRAPS. Besides, the WMrecorder has a scheduler that allows you to make scheduled online TV streaming content recordings too.
