That 180-dome looks pretty immersive. Do you have any pictures of that setup?
And how was the event in general? Did you meet any SSM-fans?

Well, it's a compliment, and that girl was no Eileen Collins last time I've checked :). I Was hoping to rattle the cage a bit and find out if we actually have any girls on the forum...

Nah, I don't think so. Flight simulators don't have many, and this is even further out ;D

On the other hand, this might indicate that girls have better eyesight....

They seem to be able to see that it's all just little dots of light on a screen :o

But, man - do we have a lot of fun with those...

Why wouldn't there be any girls here?
Some of the greatest astronomers were women; the first belgian ESA astronaut was a woman, etc etc...
As for piloting the shuttle: I've seen plenty of girls flying our shuttle simulator at the Euro Space Center where I work, and most of the times, they do a better job at it...

On the other hand, the real astronaut corps consists mainly of men. Don't know why, but that's just the way it is.

well, there's some old women here :)

I've introduced SSM to a bunch of chaps at BAE Systems, they where impressed. I have a suspicion that a forum member is one ;)
